Best product of it's kind so far... August 22, 2010 A. S. Donnelly (Denver, CO) ... I have tried a few similar products so far. Bitter Apple, Bitter End, Phooey and Bitter Yuck. Both of my dogs do not care at all for the taste of Bitter Apple, while they both LOVE the taste of Bitter Yuck and Phooey. The only negative of Bitter Apple, is it doesn't appear to be an outdoor product and therefor has to be re-applied with great frequency.
I am still looking for the perfect solution, but Bitter Apple appears to be the closest thing to it. 4/5 due to it not being particularly well suited for outdoor use.
stop chewing August 15, 2010 Jane (Wilton, CT United States) I have been using this with my puppy and it definitely stops him from chewing. It does wear off and needs to be reapplied.
Not effective for me July 5, 2010 F. L. Chandler (Mobile, AL) I hoped to use the product to discourage my dog from chewing his feet. For all the good it did I could have been spraying his feet with distilled water
Great Stuff July 3, 2010 rideabiketoday I purchased this a week ago and have already gone through the two bottles. It worked GREAT ! I put it on everything from cables to a few properly placed pine cones and rocks in the driveway. He doesnt go after any of them now. I even put it on my skin so he wouldnt lick my feet. Didnt stain anything !
It works! May 21, 2010 Queenie Bee's Mom (South of Boston, MA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this as a deterrent - to keep my kittens from chewing on plants, cords, etc. Works great! They take a nibble and that's it, they leave whatever it is alone.
