I purchased this item after watching it demonstrated on the "Does it Work" segment of WREG news Memphis. There is a video on the WREG website for anybody who might be interested in seeing it. I have two 65 lb Pit Bulls, a 75 lb American Bulldog and a 4 month old Pit Bull puppy. My dogs are all short coats, but I washed all 4 of my dogs this weekend and did not use an entire soap cartridge. I'm pretty sure I spent less than 30 minutes washing and drying all. It probably didn't take me more than 2 minutes to wash and rinse the puppy. Installation was quick and easy too and there were no leaks. I definitely recommend this product.

A product that takes the work out of bath giving. HydroSurge allows me to give my dogs a bath with less stress on both my dogs and myself. I still have to take him in for grooming but only every couple of months or less. This is wonderful. My BEARdog loves it and it is quick and easy. I think the price is GREAT... the price of ONE BATH!!!!! My dog is HUGE! I just love it!

We have a standard poodle who is very difficult to wash because of her thick, curly coat. I could never get all the soap out of her coat with our normal shower head. Just got the rapid bath today and it works great! She came out so much cleaner without that "wet dog" smell that she usually has after I bathe her. She was muddy from running around the wet yard and it still only took 1/3 of the shampoo cartridge to get her clean.
It's also nice that we could hook it to our shower and still keep the regular shower head on at the same time. Given that we have to pay $20-30 for a bath at the groomer, the rapid bath will pay for itself pretty quickly. Highly recommend it!! Very quick and easy to use!

Finally a product that delivers on it's promises! I have 3 dogs, a Shepherd/Lab mix, a Lab/Hound mix of some sort, and a small Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix.
I would dread bathing them regularly because I have a bad back and they would fight me. So I'd have to be stooped over even longer than normal just to keep them in the stand up shower. Then trying to make sure all the soap is rinsed out-it was just not a lot of fun for any of us.
After reading tons of reviews of this item, I bought it on here. I have used it several times now so I feel more comfortable with a review. It works!
The very first time I used it, a job that used to take me an hour took me 20 minutes-including towel drying and wrangling up my next "victim"!
The Shepherd fought me far less, and patiently let me thoroughly bathe her. My Lab/Hound mix still doesn't love getting bathed (he was the worst to begin with) but he was FAR better than before. Enough so that I was able to bathe him and not need assistance to hold him while I did so. And he is the one I mainly bought it for. He needs more frequent bathing due to the oilier nature of his coat, and his tendency to roll in deer poo. It is PERFECT for spot cleaning those types of incidents.
I have gotten 1 full dog bath for all 3 dogs plus 3 spot cleanings so far out of my first cartridge. The mobile groomer I had out before ends up being $75 per big dog. It's a no-brainer! I may still have them come out a couple times a year (I am afraid of nail trimming) but this is a HUGE savings for me, even at $3 per cartridge.
I think the quality is decent-and I really like that you can get the water to temperature then turning it off on the Rapidbath before you get the dog in.
As for people not getting that many baths out of a cartridge, you may just have to rethink what you are used to seeing in terms of suds=cleaning. A few passes along the body as instructed, and the chest, feet and belly really only takes the 3-5 minutes they say (depending on the size and cooperation of your dog). Resist the urge to keep going over and over while sudsing-it is a different way of cleaning and it works great.
I have recommended to several friends with pets.
