Product Description
The Solvit Track'r Pet Bicycle Trailer is a great way to maintain an active lifestyle with your pet. Leashing your pet to a bicycle is inherently unsafe for pets and owners alike the Track'r trailer solves that problem and your pet will love the ride. It's also great for older pets or those with joint problems. Constructed from heavy-duty polyester material with waterproof floorboard on a steel frame. The front door on the trailer includes a zippered, mesh screen layer, and a zippered, vinyl layer to block wind and weather. Use them in different configurations depending on riding conditions. Pets load easily through the zippered, rear door. The safety leash and removable, washable cushion keep pets secure and comfortable on long rides. Includes two storage pockets on the sides plus a roomy mesh pocket on the roof to carry lots of gear. The Track'r assembles quickly and easily with no tools and folds down for easy storage. A universal bicycle hitch is included and extra hitches are available, sold separately. Want to go on a long walk or jog, but not sure your pet can make it all the way? Convert the Track'r Trailer into a jogger with our easy-to-install Jogging Kit - converts from Trailer to Jogger and back in less than two minutes, sold separately. Suitable for pets up to 45 lbs.

5 out of 5 stars WOW!My dog and I love it!   March 4, 2010
Maria Murray (Austin,TX)
Super fast shipping, great packing. Super fast to put together when I read the directions, am a woman in my 50s. So excited when it arrived, put it together in a few minutes and used it right away. My puppy is scared of everything at first, but she did really well. I put toys in it for her to get out and acted like it was a fun thing. Then we went for a short walk first before taking a short trip around the neighborhood. Came home and packed some water and leash and such, went for a couple of miles and walked at the park and back home. Kept praising her and she did well, only when she saw squirrels, but the short leash inside holds her save. Even left it open the first time towards me,she was so cute. People were smiling as they drove by. Now I will use my bike at least.
Seems to be well made and it rode very nice. I love it and am glad I made this choice.

5 out of 5 stars Dog may be afraid at first, so you must acclimate him/her slowly   January 3, 2010

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2CUDDSDDF5D83 Our mini goldendoodle is a lanky 26 pounds. You can sort of judge his size by comparing him to the 26" bike tire. We got a medium bike trailer, and the size is perfect for him.

We started off too quickly with him. He's not afraid of much, so we just had him jump right in for a ride. We left the front flap undone so he could enjoy the feeling of wind on his face. Unfortunately, he jumped out pretty much right away. We had his leash attached to the trailer, so he was pulled and twisted by the neck until we stopped (as immediately as possible). So we had to backtrack and get him acclimated more slowly, to remember how weird a sensation this must be to the dog. What's been helpful for us is that we also bought the Walky Dog bike leash. So we let him run beside the bike for a while to tire him out, and then put him in the trailer. This video was taken just a few weeks after we bought the trailer. We ride about twice a week. He was so tired after running on this day that when we stopped, he jumped in voluntarily, and he wasn't trembling when we stopped. Even so, he doesn't love it yet, but we feel confident that he will.

Someone else mentioned the smell, and I will admit that the interior smelled strongly chemical at first. If you can, let the trailer air out for a couple of weeks before you introduce the dog to it.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2TMROQNO7ZM4X Our dog loves this trailer. She got in right away, and loves to go for bike rides. The little leash inside that hooks onto the collar keeps her safe inside, and prevents her from jumping out after squirrels.

This trailer is well-made and easy to get on and off the bike.

5 out of 5 stars Canine Commuter   October 8, 2009

Recently got a dog. I ride my bike about 3 miles to work every day and I wanted to bring the doggie along. This trailer arrived quickly, was very easy to put together and feels much more stable than I expected when riding. Even though my dog is small enough to fit into a basket (8-10lbs). The trailer feels like a safer option.

I accustomed my dog to it over the course of a weekend with the use of a lot of treats. He was a little whiny the first few days of regular commuting. Now he is fine and jumps in on his own.

Only complaints are that the included floor cushion is a little thin and moves out of place immediately, and it would be nice to be able to attach a flag. I am going to have to figure out my own flag hack for better visibility.

I get a lot of inquiries from interested dogowners.

Love it, pretty easy to set up. The canvas is a little tight at first, but it gets on eventually without too much trouble. Our dog loves it!
